Hofudstodvarnar (HQ)
HQ is a private tool operated by its owner for managing her own creative work and publishing workflow. It is not a public sign-up service, a subscription product, or an organization offering access to other people.
Owner-only access: HQ’s YouTube features are restricted to its owner and the workflows she explicitly authorizes. Connection and publication status are shown in the private dashboard; a channel or publication may be paused or require renewed Google authorization. These information pages do not connect an account or activate publishing.
Why HQ connects to YouTube
HQ’s YouTube workflow is designed to identify the channel selected by the owner, upload an explicitly approved video, and check its processing and publication result. Each publication is bound to its exact video, title, description and visibility through the owner’s review or a workflow she has specifically authorized within a defined scope.
- Read access identifies the owner’s channel and verifies video results.
- Upload access allows an approved video to be uploaded.
- Video-management access allows the uploaded video’s visibility to match the owner’s explicit choice. Google describes this permission more broadly; HQ does not provide a video-deletion feature.
Connecting a channel does not authorize a publication. A new connection starts paused and requires separate approval. Authorized assistants may help execute an approved workflow, but cannot obtain publishing authority merely by connecting.
Google authorization is separate from signing in to HQ. The dashboard, account details and control APIs remain private. These public information pages do not reveal private account or project records.
